Despite missing some of the more colorful members of GNO, the group enjoyed wine/cheese pairings on Zoe's patio, a most serene setting, at the April gathering. Marti wore Zoe’s coat. Everything Janie tasted was excellent, including as a delicious Mexican casserole, a wonderful organic salad and pinto beans. Dee brought sopapilla cake (one comment: "omg it was yummy!") and everyone enjoyed Zoe’s wine opener (they apprently gave it a workout, as well). It was Dee’s 59th birthday. There was a birthday cake, but no one took a bite. There were stories, true and possibly embellished. Everyone was hysterically funny by the time the evening was over.

February Italian Feast at Janie's Ranch

Janie may have burned down her house (well…just once) but she didn’t burn dinner when the fledgling Girls Night Out group gathered at her lovely ranch for Italian delicacies and abundant bottles of vino. After showing everyone their Italian tattoos (if you weren’t there, don’t ask), the diners feasted on candied pecan and gorgonzola salad, veal braciola and parmigiana di melanzane. It was enough to make you sweat (assuming you can)! See you next month at Zoe’s casa!
